The route from Vallter 2000 to the summit at 2,883 metres is straightforward in summer. In May, with snow still all around us, it wasn't possible. We made it up to Pic de la Dona at 2,702, had a quick dip in an icy lake and lunch 2 yards into the French border. Looking forward to coming back and trying 'The Traverse'. Fred
